Abu Simbel can be reached by plane or by bus (the crossing in the bus had been cancelled after one period of attacks... The risks seem now isolated...). The journey was done by military convoy framing the hundred buses going on the site.
Prefer the solution of the bus which with premium access seems less sympathetic (us, one rose to 2h00 to do lot of mileage and to arrive at 8h00 on site), but is at the endmuch less expensive and very pleasant. Raised sun in the desert and time that one remains on the spot is longer (approximately 4h00). In the plane, the visit is reduced to approximately 2h00 (according to what one said to us). Moreover the price is largely higher in the plane.
