The geography of the Marquesas islands is amazing and differs completely from the other islands in the Pacific Ocean. They seem like old mountains coming out from the sea. You can see either plateaus, steep slopes, beaches or the sea. The beaches are just a few and not very agreeables. On the opposite, the temperature of the water is perfect. Some people even thinks that is too hot ! Another little remark about water depth: it changes really quickly in this place, so be careful ! The problem is that the sharks love to stay where the sea bottoms are riches and of course next to the seaside...
