View of the boarding house which hosted us for few days. We were at the end of Matira Point. Just behind and on the other side of the point, there's the Moana Beachcomber Park Royal. And here's the view from our "terrace". The sun sets just in front of it....can you imagine the magic? Address of the boarding house

And here're 2 hotels with overwater bungalows , as an exemple. A tourist dream.. The one above is really famous (the méridien) because of its glass bottom floors which can be opened to feed the fishes. |
|
The Moana Beachcomber Park Royal Under each bungalow has been placed a coral spur and the employers feed the fishes daily. Just for the sake of entertaining the tourists. |

And this is what you'll see if you'll make a tour of the lagoon by boat. Demonstration of coconut harvesting , ... If you're lucky, try them oven-baked in tahitian style , a polynesian tradition.
And a Black-tip shark, absolutely harmless, unless you pull its tail, taken during a shark feeding .
The tourism in Bora-Bora Everything is planned for the tourists. If you'd like to go to a restaurant, to dive, or no matter what else... the staff will come to pick you up with a car or something else. It's really the best solution if you're asking for relaxation and rest. But if you prefer, like us, to visit, to have a walk, to stay in boarding houses, to get profit of this wonderful place, the situation is different...You'll be a bit on the fringes... But who cares? |

In Bora-bora, lemon sharks keep watching..
Surrounded by white sand beaches, Bora-Bora owes its reputation to its closed lagoon, where just one passing ( "Te ava nui") in front of the main village permits to access to the open sea. Tiki and its famous lemon-shark passing is one ot the few places which still attract a huge number of animals during the shark-feeding activities. So you'll be sure to see them closely! "Arava", alias
Negaprion acutidens, is easily recognizable because of its 2
dorsal flippers of the same size. It's about 3 metres long.
A diving reserved to expert divers. The show is at 30 metres depht. Some days in each of Bora-Bora islands, Huahine, Raiatea... will give you a general idea of the richness of this archipelago.
Best diving period : from march to november
