Cenote de Valadolid

At 20 minutes of taxi of Chichen Itza

The ' cenotes' are very widespread in Yucatan. That often resembles caves in which there is a fresh water basin interior, and very often an opening towards the sky to allow in the light of entering there. Certain times, it is only one more or less large hole with a basin at the bottom. Cenote de Chichen Itza is particularly impressive.

Water is soft there and the very pleasant temperature. If you have chance, the sun can overhang the cénote and the light enters the cave then to illuminate the basin. The effect must be sensational. Only the occasions must be quite rare, and when it is the good moment, I do not dare immaginer the world which there must be!

A good council to avoid crowd is to come the morning before the visit from Chichen Itza for example. There is very little world and it is much more pleasant.
