It's a magnificent hotel right in the centre of Calvi. It has been open for tens of years, it a real museum. It's a very historical place and it makes you feel very well..

The main trumps are the excellent welcome, that is wrthy of its name, the restaurant or we should better say the restaurant hall and the view of the rooms of the highest floors..

 

So to start, here's the view of one of the rooms of the 4th floor (if i remember well); you can clearly see the harbour and the bay.

And the icing on the cake: the restaurant hall and its terrace. When it starts to be hot, they put the tables outside. To have breakfast on this terrace with a view on the harbour is a real dream. You will also notice the decoration, which is part of the charm.

 

There's a damper however, which is the quality of the rooms. The furniture is original and is really agreeable. Despite it, some reparations/renovations of the rooms have been done in a mediocre way. They have used finishing touches and materials of poor quality, and this spoil completely the charm of this hotel.

Moreover, during the night, the hotel is noisy because of the noises of the plumbing. But the direction guaranteed us that they're going to do some works. They've also planned to install an internet network.

But in the end, we still keep an excellent memory of it.
