Beach of rondinara

between Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio - Corsica

 

To arrive there you have to drive for several kilometres. The landscape is really distressing because of a recent fire.

After some kilometres, we start to see the sea and something which looks like a bay. The colour of the sea makes your mouth watering.

Just before arriving, here's a car park! Ok, you could think that it's because there're just a few.

Of course not! During the off-season (we were there at the beginning of May), like everywhere in the island, the car park is locked. Once time again, thank you. Why to open it as long as the touristic season has not started?

So, after we managed to park the car between the other ones which strewed around there, here're some pics of this beach which is very photographed. I don't know if they clean the sand during the touristic season, but at the beginning of may it was definitely dirty.

Fortunately the blue of the sea (which looks like a lagoon) makes you forget all the problems.

If you were asking what the house on the beach is for, here's the answer: it should be a administration office of Lavezzi islands.I didn't manage to get further information but if you discover it, don't hesitate to leave me a message.

Arriving from the sea, the landscape is definitely different, all light-blue coloured.

That day, only one small sailing boat was anchored there.

There's another beach (less photographed than this one) a bit more on the south. It's really wilder, the water is less calm (but the colour is the same) and it's surely less populated during the summer. When i was there, the wind was blowing very hard on that side, but this didn't stop a group of bikers very nice from having a pic-nic.
