While i'm working on the personal description here's an official one and some comments. If you've been in this hotel as well, i personally invite you adding your comments, just to help the visitors to choose the best holiday destination.
(Remember that 3 negative comments are equivalent to about 10 positive ones. We usually have less difficulties to leave negative criticisms than to write positive remarks)

THE LOCATION

The Lookéa Punta Cana Club has a huge white sand beach, bordered by a tropical vegetation and coconut trees..
It's part of a complex made up of 2 hotels and 3 swimming pools (with children's pools). The Lookéa swimming pool is 600 m².
It's located in the Playa Arena Gorda, in the east cost, at 60 km from Higuëy and 35 km from the airport of Punta Cana.

THE HOTEL-CLUB

The rooms

228 rooms divided in two buildings on 2 levels (without elevator),
They all have 2 double beds, air-conditioned, satellite television, telephone, minibar
and safe (with a charge), bathroom (equiped with hairdryer) and balcon or terrace with a view either on the gardens or on the swimming pool.

The restaurant

The Lookéa has a restaurant which serves international food and 2 bars: a lobby bar and a pool bar. You can have access to all the services of the complex : 1 restaurant with buffet and 2 snack bars (for the lunch), 1 sport bar 24 h/24 and 4 restaurants à la carte (a proper outfit is required. Reservation on the spot).

The all-inclusive package contains: 3 meals per day, snacks, 1 dinner each week in one of the restaurants à la carte (some plates are not included in this formule), free drinks in one of the 7 bars,inside the disco (water, juices, sodas, tea, coffea, beer, national drinks) and in the sport bar which is 24 h/24 open (both drinks and snacks).

The sports

inside the complexe, the animators will invite you:

In the garden : to practice the aquarobics, le réveil musculaire, l’aérobic, le stretching, le tir à l’arc, le tennis (2 courts en terre battue et 1 en quick dans le complexe), le beach-volley, le ping-pong, la pétanque, les fléchettes et le water-polo. Billard, salle de gym et vélo (1/2 heure gratuite/personne/jour).

Next to the sea : to make the most of your stay discovering (1/2 hour/person/day) :
the windsurf, the kayak or the diving without breathing apparatus (with mask and snorkel).
Introduction to the submarine diving inside the swimming pool (1 time for stay and for person).

 

With a charge : lighting of the tennis court, submarine diving, horseriding (on demande) and spa (sauna, massages and beauty care).

The animation staff

All the animators are french-speakers. The organize everyday sport and play tournaments. All the staff is involved in showing you their spectacles, the thematic nights, the cabaret, the “Look Stars” or the “One night Star” in which you'll surely take part. After the show, you'll be invited to dance a Merengue in the disco inside the complex (free entry).

Your children

The animators offer several activities, and everybody will have the possibility to become the star of the night during the show. Common lunch and snack for the minis and the juniors.
During all the year: Mini Lookéa for 4/ 8 years old; during school-holidays period :Junior Lookéa for 8/12 y.o., and the Ado Lookéa for 12/16 y.o. will entertain your children.

At your service:

Boutiques, beach towels, cash dispensers. A little train will bring you directly from the complex to the beach (at 400 mt. distance).

With charge : hairdresser, internet acces , mini casino, baby-sitting, medical service(24h). Close by: golf (18 holes), casino (2km).
