IFA villas Bavaro Bavaro village and Bavaro ocean village (Punta Cana) Located at 20-25 minutes form the airport of Punta Cana, this is a wonderful 3-star-superior hotel. It's composed by two different hotels: the Bavaro Ocean village and the Bavaro village. The second one is further from the beach but it's more luxuous than the other one. You'll meet lots of french-speaking tourists, so you won't ever feel lost if you're french and you don't speak either English or Spanish. There's a cash machine next to the main entrance. Let's start with the tour... We first talk about the wonderful beach of Bavaro, which is incorrectly named as " the beach of Punta Cana". In the South of this beach there's a touristic market. Here the storekeepers won't hesitate to "run at you" to sell you some of their products. It's up to you. If you go on, youll pass in front of the Barcelo hotels , first the Barcelo Bavaro Palace, then the Barcelo Bavaro Beach and the Barcelo Bavaro Caribe. Useless to say that the beach is long enough to contain all these hotels. This complex includes 2 others hotels among which a Casino behind the Barcelo Bavaro Caribe (that is next to the 3rd swimming pool after the market). Down in the South, there's a quite wild area, that I wouldn't recommend to non-ventured tourists. Then, after several kilometres you'll pass in front of the Club Med and another one. Afterwards, there's nothing else. If you go ahead (but you can't go walking from here), you'll arrive to the national nature reserve wichi is between the Saona Island and the "continent". In the North of IFA villas bavaro, There're some luxuous hotels, like the Melia Tropical, and the city of Bavaro. If I remember well, this is the breakfast room, that's next to the beach
The Ocean village hotel, the closer one to the sea, is at about 200 metres from the beach. To arrive there you need to cross a kind of dune with coconut trees. It doesn't look Pour l'atteindre, il faut traverser une sorte de dune avec palmiers. Cela ne semble pas très maintained, so I hope that it'll to stay clean. The Ocean village hotel Located between the villas Bavaro and the beach, this is one of the quietest hotels I've ever seen. It's has a very small swimming pool. It's very nice to relax on the beach chair for some hours.
The villas Bavaro Beach If you walk ahead (or if you arrive from the road like most of the people), you'll arrive to the villas Bavaro Beach. Quite bigger than the other one, this hotel is divided in manny areas (rooms, small appartments, restaurants, bars) and it's centered around the big swimming pool. It's in fact next to the swimming pool that most of the customers spend their days. A small shadowed path will lead you to the appartments
Be careful, because this path runs parallel to the entrance road of the hotel,so it's quite noisy, because there's always somebody passing by. The view from the bar : The swimming pool
The show auditorium The 6 restaurants : the Bambu (japanese), the Caribe (international), the Jalisco (mexican), the Colibri (buffet), the Los Caracoles(buffet) and the Casona(snack) Remember to make reservation and be careful to the extras.
A good point for this hotel (or at least if you care about your budget) is the cash machine whcih is just at the entrance.
