Dominican Bay Hotel3***Dominican Bay private beachArrival from the footbridge
And at the end,a view on the sea and the private beach
According to the latest news, the refinery has been replaced with a loading/unloading container harbour. Now we can see 2 huge harbours by far. I don't know if this is enough to ruin the view; to make you better understand here's a panoramic view of the beach. Once you've seen this beach,
you'll think that doesn't exist such a beautiful and pleasant beach within a radius of 30 km. As you can see, the water is turquoises and so you can make wondefurl diving. Be careful with the boats and jetskis which pass all day long.
And when it rains (it never lasts long), the place gets empty really fastly. It's a stroke of luck when all the deckchairs are taken (finally, it hapened to us just one time) !
Otherwise, it' true that the first impression is to be in a kind of prison, with this small low wall which separate us from the population and the public beach ! But after some hours everybody find his place, either choose a deckchair on the quiet private beach or the sand on the seaside. There, the ambiance is really more lively. Speaking about the low wall, the first impression is quite negative but the beach is still beautiful, the colours of the sea wonderful and because you're on holiday, you'll forget it quite fastly. The beach in front of Dominican Bay is not very clean. You can find some small pieces of glass (with round corners,i've never heard about cuts....just some worries, but nothing to get cut with....). On the other hand,in the morning, walking on the beach, you can make some amazing pics. The sea is very clear and some blue reflection are magnificent. Anyway be careful to the SUPERB refinery just in front, which can ruin all your photos if you don't pay attention (don't worry, it's far. Check the photos to verify it). More than polluting, it's just that it ruin the idea to be in a caribbean beach. Fortunately the colours of the sea are still there to remind you where you're. In the private beach there's a volleyball ground. It's difficult not to win against the animator team, they're such bad players! And at the end, some views of the beach of Boca Chica hich were taken just in front of the Dominican Bay hotel. To contradict the backbiters as me who says that the refinery can ruin all your photos, you can see it in the middle of the next picture. It's not really disturbing at all... and a bit of local life... (in many hot countries, the local population locale is used to spend all sundays on the beach)
